Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the WorldPostalCode website and data directory (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service
WorldPostalCode is a postal code data directory. It lets you browse postal code, locality, and administrative data for countries around the world, and get the full database of complete, standardised datasets for your own use.
The data shown on the public pages is provided as a reference and for evaluation. It may be a sample of the full dataset for a given country.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and reasonably. In particular, you agree not to:
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service by automated means outside of any dataset access we grant you;
- place unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or attempt to disrupt or interfere with the Service;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems; or
- use the Service in any way that infringes the rights of others or breaches applicable law.
We may suspend or restrict access to the Service for anyone who misuses it.
Data access and licensing
Access to complete datasets is arranged through our Get full database page and is subject to the scope and terms agreed for your use case. Browsing the public directory does not grant you a licence to redistribute, resell, or republish the data.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, structure, text, and the compilation and standardisation of the underlying data, is protected by intellectual property rights. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, all rights are reserved.
Accuracy and availability
We invest heavily in sourcing, verifying, and standardising postal data, but the data is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that every record is complete, accurate, or current, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for evaluating the data’s suitability for your own purposes.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorldPostalCode will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Third-party links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate or control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or the law. Where required, we will make the updated Terms available before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
