About

We're obsessed with postal code data

Where most people see a five-digit string, we see the administrative backbone of a country. Turning that into clean, dependable data is the whole reason WorldPostalCode exists.

We are, frankly, passionate about postal code data. For every country we cover, we go looking for the best local source — national postal operators, statistical offices, mapping agencies and the official references that define how each country structures its addresses.

Some of those sources arrive as clean exports. Others we have to go and collect ourselves — occasionally travelling to a national postal company and leaving with a hard drive in hand. Whatever it takes to get the authoritative version.

Then comes the hard part: aggregating hundreds of incompatible sources and standardising every one of them into a single, consistent model. The same file formats, column names, attributes and hierarchy in every country — so the data behaves the same way wherever you use it.

What sets the data apart

Built for teams that operate across countries

Worldwide coverage

Accurate, up-to-date address data — street names, postal codes, cities, administrative areas and each country's official address format — for 247 countries in a single standardised database.

Standardized data

One unified global structure. File formats, column titles, attribute naming and the data model stay consistent from one country to the next, so what you learn once applies everywhere.

Weekly updates

Our data pipelines capture, clean, format and integrate new data every week, so coverage keeps pace with real-world changes rather than drifting out of date.

Deep local expertise

Fifteen years of enterprise geodata work behind us, and an in-depth understanding of each country's postal and administrative system — including the quirks that catch everyone else out.

Unmatched data quality

Long-standing partnerships with national and international postal operators, such as USPS, and 1,500 verified data sources keep every record accurate and delivered on time.

Multi-language support

Address formats in the official local languages, plus foreign names, English and transliterations into the Roman alphabet — 299 languages available.
